Western Red Cedar Clearview ShuttersClearview Shutters are a new concept in plantation shutter design. The new design allows us to remove the tilt bar necessary in traditional plantation shutters allowing a much improved view and easier cleaning. Clearview Shutters are made from first grade Western Red Cedar which can be either custom paint finished in a colour of your choice or have our four coat oil and lacquered finish which will ensure a long lasting depth of colour.
Traditional Plantation ShuttersOur traditional plantation shutters are made from first grade western red cedar which can have either an oiled, oiled and lacquered or a custom paint finish. Traditional shutters add a warm and sophisticated look to any room or window.
Traditional shutters have a tilt bar which operates the blades allowing you to open the blades fully to admire your view or to tilt the blades to reduce the glare of the sun and to enjoy your privacy. Our traditional shutters are made locally by experienced craftsmen.
Artwood ShuttersArtwood Shutters are made from a laminated timber. The timber produces a strong stable shutter. The laminated coating resists scuffing, chipping, peeling, cracking and staining. As Artwood is a painted product it is not susceptible to colour change. Artwood comes in three different shades of white.
Both Basswood and Artwood shutters can be made either as the Clearview style which means the shutters will have a concealed tilt bar which will be positioned at the edge of the louvre on the reverse side, providing completely uninterrupted views through the louvres. Or as a Traditional Plantation Shutter with a centre tilt rod.
Speciality ShapesShaped panels are designed to cover architecturally designed windows or openings. These special shapes can be made from either Basswood or Artwood.
Clearview Aluminium External ShuttersClearview Aluminium Shutters alleviate the need for a tilt rod providing completely uninterrupted views through the louvres. This unique design allows for reliable operation and a clear view. The shutters are ideal for privacy screening, pergola sun shading, wind screening or adding an architectural element to your home. Aluminium shutters come with five different blade sizes from 45mm aero foil blades to 150mm aero foil blades. The blades come with either a clear anodise or powder coated in a colour of your choice.
Basswood ShuttersBasswood is a fast growing sustainable timber, which makes an extremely stable shutter. Basswood is naturally a medium density timber as such it is ideal for shutters being neither too heavy nor too light, but still offering a reasonable amount of hardness against knocks and bumps. Basswood shutters will resist warping, shrinkage and swelling and incorporates a special UV inhibitor to prevent fading. These shutters come in a variety of colours ranging from white to various shades of brown.
